Amazing how many years have passed on our annual breast cancer fundraiser – Women Rock. Six years past, and, of course, this November will be our 7th year… and still going strong! I know this is an important event for a lot of our community and I have so many people tell me that Women Rock is now a destination to be at on that first weekend of deer hunting. One great group of ladies, the Foust Family, even plan their family reunion with the sisters around this event!
This will be our 4th year partnering with St. Luke's and we couldn't be more pleased. Proceeds will once again benefit women with breast cancer via St. Luke's Foundation and St. Luke's Breast Center.
Events, Entertainment, Prizes and FUN!
Please join us by participating in all our events such as the hourly prize drawings by purchasing a $1.00 ticket, visiting the vendors that have planned a special day for you, watching the Coldwater Creek Fashion Show, the entertainment (including the ever popular Madill Dancers), our silent auction with hundreds of items to bid on – including hotel stays, sailing, art, jewelry, wine, products from our vendors, rockers from Slumberland, electronics, etc. I know that I and many of my friends use this event to get some great bargains for their Christmas gifts. These items are all from our generous local and regional businesses so I really want to give a shout out to them and thank them for the many years they have been contributing and helping to make this event successful by our contributions to St. Luke's. And, speaking of contributions, did you know that our Women Rock fundraiser has brought in over $175,000 in the last 6 years!
 We also want to give a big "Thank You" to Como Oil and Propane for continuing to contribute one cent for every gallon of propane it delivers to households in our region to our Women Rock fundraising. This will be their third year of partnering with us – you may have seen their Pink truck around town… what a great gift to this community!
Some of the vendors that you visit will offer a pampering service, product, or sample in exchange for a suggested small donation ($1.00) while showing you their latest products, clothing or service. Don't forget the purpose of this event is for breast cancer fundraising but at the same time have a lot of fun.
$3.00 admission for a great fun-filled day. The lights, the pink, the flowers … all there to enhance the already exciting atmosphere! You can't imagine until you've been there once… so if you haven't, don't miss us this year. We will have some exciting new vendors and some new ideas for fun and pampering ... so don't miss it – Saturday, November 5th!
